Before The Day

Before the ceremony, before the proposal, there were years of friendship, laughter, and little moments that God was weaving into something beautiful.

Before the ceremony, before the dance floor, before the last song, there were years of small moments that made this day feel possible.

July 20 / The question before the question

Before the proposal, there was a handwritten question.

On July 20, 2022, after four years of friendship and 28 days of dating, Edwin gave Grace a card asking her to be his first ever girlfriend. He was so nervous to ask her that he hid the card in her shoe.

San Diego / Long-Distance Love Story

110 Miles Apart

One month later, Grace moved to San Diego to begin grad school, marking the start of their long-distance love story. Though 110 miles apart, Edwin found every way to stay close. He called Grace and stayed on FaceTime with her every day, through her study nights, quiet dinners, and every night when she fell asleep. Some calls lasted more than 72 hours, ending only when FaceTime finally gave out — a small reminder that even distance couldn’t keep them from choosing each other, day after day.

Yes Under the Rainbow

After Grace’s second year of law school, Edwin took her to Hawaii to celebrate her 25th birthday. Little did she know, this would be their last trip as boyfriend and girlfriend. Beneath a Hawaiian rainbow, Edwin got down on one knee and asked her for the honor of loving her forever.
